almost 5 months old
Avery will be 5 months old on New Year's Eve. I can't believe it. Its nearly been A HALF A YEAR since she was born.
She can now roll from her back to her stomach, and the roll again. Then, she gets stuck and cries. She would very much like to crawl away from Lauren most days, but she just hasn't figured that one out yet.
She is very attached to me - no big surprise - I am with her 24/7. She doesn't drink much for bottles anymore, yet won't eat cereal. But she's gaining weight still (no clue how), so we're not concerned (much) yet.
Her fingernails grow at lightning speeds and I hate clipping them. She has such wimpy little hands (unlike Lauren, who has man-hands at the age of 2) that I'm afraid I'll break her poor little finger. And I clip her skin nearly everytime. And her toenails are too small to clip yet, even though they're getting sharp. Ugh. Kids' nails shouldn't grow until they are old enough to clip them by themselves.
Anyway, she still doesn't sleep the greatest. Obviously, she sleeps the best when I'm holding her. But that can't always happen.
I wish.

houston - we have a roller!
My little Ayvie Bean learned how to roll from her back to her stomach today! We were so excited! We kind of thought that maybe she would just skip rolling over and go right into crawling, but today she showed us otherwise. I still have pictures to post of Avery eating cereal for the first time - I may get to that tonight. YAY AYVIE!

4 Month Check-up
I took Avery to the doctor this morning for her 4 month checkup. She weighs 16lbs 3oz and is 24 inches long. She got 3 shots and the liquid vaccine. She didn't do too bad. She stopped crying after each shot. We gave her tylenol before we went, so I think that helped. We got the go-ahead to start feeding her cereal, so we're pretty excited about that. I am kind of sad that she's growing up, but I'm really looking forward to seeing what she's like as she gets older.
